Painting the Cotswolds David Blakemore

As part of our Cotswolds #BirchallsBritain content, we are showcasing some of the talented people that make the region so special. Tea’s calming influence has always been a close friend of the artist, and here we look to support some great work from artist, David Blakemore.

David Blakemore is a Cotswolds based artist who has been living and breathing his beautiful surroundings since moving from London over three years ago. The sheer vibrancy and colour of the countryside is reflected in his bold contemporary style.

David enjoys creating atmosphere and narrative in his work and finds natures own dramatic contrasts of light provide endless inspiration. His paintings are a composite of what he sees and what he imagines and subconsciously breaking from convention, all his landscape work is portrait formatted because that is how he views his work, as windows to beauty beyond.
