Hot on the heels of the RHS Chelsea Flower show arrives Hampton Court Palace Flower show, another wonderful British summer time event. At Birchall Tea we just love this celebration of gardening excellence, full of colour and wonderful natural fragrance. We’re delighted to be supplying tea to this year’s event and through this association we are able to offer our followers the chance to win tickets. But in order to whet the appetite, here’s what you can expect from this years show.
Butterfly Dome
Be captivated by a specially created butterfly dome with thousands of free flying butterflies from Indonesia and South America. See how many species you can spot as they perch, bask and take flight among the tropical vegetation. Perfect for photographers and wildlife lovers!
Stunning Show Gardens
This year we see more show gardens than ever before as more categories are welcomed to the event. The Capability Brown Gardens will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the 18th-century landscape architect Lancelot Brown, and at the opposite end of the spectrum the City Garden and the Flower Box categories will show just how much can be achieved in a small outdoor space. In addition to this the four winners of a nationwide competition will be creating compact front gardens to inspire and give you ideas to try at home!
Floral Marquee
The giant Floral Marquee will showcase floral exhibitors and specialist nurseries with stunning displays to inspire you. It’s the perfect place to stock up on choice and unusual seasonal plants, both here and outdoors in the Plant Village. The Festival of Roses offers glorious and captivating displays, and around the showground there are inspiring talks and demonstrations by celebrity gardeners.
