At Birchall Tea we love to support restaurants that have the same commitment to quality and using the finest produce as we do. We were very lucky to spend some time at the wonderful Castle Howard, a magnificent stately home situated in the heart of the Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire.
Castle Howard produces fabulous food, where the emphasis is on local sourcing of ingredients and freshness of flavor. Head chef David Haynes, meticulously sources high quality, seasonal ingredients from a wide variety of artisan producers in the area.
We caught up with David over a pot of tea to discuss his approach to cooking and the wonderful bounty of food that can be sourced in Yorkshire and its surrounds.
